Start your career in technical sales!
Our 6-month Sales Manager:in trainee program offers you comprehensive on-the-job training in technical sales. In six structured weeks, you will be familiarized with the basics and advanced topics of sales in a practical way. From the first day, you will be assigned directly to an experienced Senior Sales Manager, who will not only support you as a mentor, but will also gradually transfer tasks and accounts to you.
This allows you to apply your knowledge immediately in practice and work independently.
Your path to successful sales of IT software solutions
In the first week, you will receive an initial overview of the basics of technical sales. You will get to know the various SAP modules and receive an introduction to our company and our IGZ service portfolio. We will also teach you basic logistics and production terms that are relevant to our business area. You will also receive an introduction to our CRM system, which plays a central role in our sales work.
The second week is all about professional telephone canvassing. You will learn how to convince potential customers on the phone and arrange appointments with confidence. You will practise the ideal way to start a conversation and learn how to respond confidently to objections. Through targeted exercises, you will increase your personal confidence in closing deals and learn how to arrange appointments with customers at trade fairs.
In this week, we will prepare you optimally for trade fairs, because a professional appearance is essential there. You will learn how to approach interested parties in a targeted manner, assess the relevance of a conversation with check questions and convey your benefits concisely and to the point. Through practical exercises with your mentor, you will develop a professional approach to successfully attract interested parties to IGZ.
In the fourth week, we will deepen your communication skills together. You will learn how to develop convincing benefit arguments in which you not only present technical advantages, but also clearly highlight the real added value for our customers. Practical training will help you consolidate your knowledge and improve your communication skills.
This week focuses on the creation and delivery of professional presentations. You will receive an introduction to our IGZ presentation templates and create individual presentations to prepare for customer meetings. You will learn how to communicate in a target group-oriented way, formulate key messages precisely and create convincing presentations through storytelling and the targeted use of imagery.
In the sixth week, the focus is on creating offers. You will be introduced to the use of our proposal templates and learn how to professionally formulate the task and objective sections. You will also practise integrating specific benefit arguments into quotations and carrying out price calculations according to defined specifications. At the end of the week, you will be able to create a complete quotation and hand it over to the sales team for further processing.
From this week onwards, you will gradually take on responsibility in your day-to-day work. You will accompany your IGZ mentor to customer appointments, prepare offer presentations and take on your first independent tasks. This will allow you to put the skills you have learned directly into practice and develop an even better understanding of the requirements and processes in sales.
