Emotional fundraising campaign at Christmas: that too is IGZ passion
For many, the Christmas season is an opportunity to pause and do something good. At IGZ, it is a matter close to our
to support people in difficult life situations. With our Christmas donation campaign
at Christmas, we not only want to provide financial help, but also set an example of solidarity and humanity.
We support regional organizations and associations with 16,000 euros
Doing good at Christmas is a tradition at IGZ. Instead of customer gifts, we focus on
support regional associations and organizations that help people in difficult life situations.
Our Christmas fundraising campaign has been running for five years now - and every year it touches us anew.
touches us anew every year. Suggestions as to which associations and organizations should be supported come directly from
directly from IGZ employees in Falkenberg and Erbendorf. The final selection is then made by our
representatives - a task that is anything but easy.
IGZ teams drive up the amount of donations
This year, we were able to increase the amount donated to an impressive 16,000 euros. A contribution
contribution to this was also made by our IGZ teams: Through joint Secret Santa activities - creatively and lovingly
and lovingly documented - the total sum was increased by 100 euros for each participating team. This
This special form of employee motivation shows how strongly our colleagues support the Christmas fundraising campaign.
Very emotional: the donation handover
The ceremonial handover of donations is a highlight every year - and 2024 was no exception. This year's recipients include:
- Ambulante Hospiz- und Palliativ-Zentrum Neustadt
- Verein Happynest
- Stiftung Aktion Knochenmarkspende Bayern
- Herzenswunsch-Hospizmobil Straubing
The team from the Specialized Outpatient Palliative Care Waldnaab, which provides round-the-clock care for 250 seriously ill people and their relatives at home every year, was also delighted this year. The aim is to improve the quality of life of those affected and to enable them to live well at home until the end. Part of the donation will also go to Happynest, an association that has set itself the task of giving people with disabilities the opportunity to stay at home and live independently together in a shared flat. The aim is to set up a first shared flat with five disabled people in the near future, and a property for this is currently under discussion. The “Aktion Knochenmarkspende Bayern” foundation will continue to use the donation to provide stem cell donors for leukemia patients all over the world via a donation database. The donation recipients are completed by the Herzenswunsch-Hospizmobil Straubing, which fulfills a heartfelt wish for people in palliative situations or those in need of intensive care. Without the help of the mobile, the passengers would not be able to reach their destination under their own steam.
The representatives of the organizations came together in Falkenberg for the emotional handover of the donations - a
moment that marked a very special end to the year for everyone involved.
